Friday Flicks with Riverside Film Festival

Do you miss the Valley Film Society? Join us for a series of indepent, foreign, and art house films at the library! In collaboration with Riverside Film Festival, we'll show a movie on selected Fridays and leave plenty of time afterward for discussion.

On 7/12, we'll be showing The Blue Caftan: Le bleu du caftan (2022) - 2hr 02min (NR): Halim and Mina run a traditional caftan store in one of Morocco’s oldest medinas. In order to keep up with the commands of the demanding customers, they hire Youssef. The talented apprentice shows an utmost dedication in learning the art of embroidery and tailoring from Halim. Slowly Mina realizes how much her husband is moved by the presence of the young man.
