MeetingsThe society was founded in 1971. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month at 6:30 PM in the auditorium of Hoyt Main Library. The meetings are held from September through June, with the exception of December. Click here to view directions to the Hoyt Main Library. Workshops and Other ActivitiesWorkshops are held at least once a year. Brochures for such events are available from the Local History and Genealogical Collection. Research projects, such as cemetery readings and copying of local records, are done by the society and published in their quarterly magazine (Timbertown Log) or in special publications. Back issues of the magazine are available. A surname file is maintained at the Hoyt Main Library in the Local History and Genealogical Collection. MembershipMembership in the Saginaw Genealogical Society is open to anyone interested in genealogy. The membership year extends from the June annual meeting each year. With membership, you receive the quarterly magazine Timbertown Log and a newsletter announcing meetings and upcoming events. Single membership dues are $15 in the United States and
