Babies & Books
This is a special storytime for babies, birth-17 months old, and a loving adult. Join us as we sing, bounce, and read our way to fun for you and your baby! Spending this special one-on-one time with your baby will not only strengthen your bond with each other, but will also stimulate and enhance your baby’s language development and other senses. Basic baby sign language will also be introduced.
*Registration is required and limited to 10 families.
*Since this is a program for just you and your baby, please make other arrangements for siblings if at all possible.
*Please bring a blanket for baby on the floor, especially those that are not yet walking.

Storytime
Join us for Preschool Storytime at the Library! Preschool children can get a head start with reading by attending “Preschool” Storytimes” sponsored by the Public Libraries of Saginaw. Each storytime features a variety of stories and activities designed to make reading fun for young children. The programs are designed for children ages 3 to 5. Afterwards, library staff members will work with parents to pick out books and other materials that they can share with their children. All library programs are free and families are welcome.

Mother Goose Times
Mother Goose Time programs are specially designed for children ages 18-24 months who must be accompanied by a parent or other adult. Adults and children will be participating in flannel board fun, finger plays, songs,
activities and nursery rhymes. “Mother Goose” consists of a series of four weekly programs. They are free, but registration is required and is limited to 15 per group. “Mother Goose Time” Is held three times per year at the Zauel Library.
These programs are part of a series of programs being sponsored by the library that promote educational development and reading readiness in young children. They are designed to give parents some useful ideas and enjoyable activities to encourage their children to enjoy books and reading.

Teaching, Learning, Connecting
What is T.L.C.?
Teaching, Learning and Connecting is a series of free parent-child play groups. Play is a child’s primary learning tool.Parents and toddlers can play together with great age-appropriate toys and equipment. They also experience activities in a child-friendly environment.
Learning through play is fun. Meet the children’s staff and other community resource professionals. They will be able to talk to you about your child’s speech and language development, reading, play, child behavior, nutrition and physical fitness.
Who can come?
Parents with children ages 1 through 3 have a great chance to meet and connect with other families while learning together.
When is it offered?
Teaching, Learning and Connecting play groups are offered each year at Butman Fish. Libraries. Registration is limited to one series per year per child.
