Congress established the Federal Depository Library
Program in the early 1800′s to provide access to Federal Government publications
to the general public. There are now nearly 1,400 libraries in the United States
which are designated Depository Libraries. Hoyt Public Library has been a Depository
Library since 1890. The library has many older titles, in all different formats
(books, magazines, microfiche, etc.) which can be found on the library’s
online catalog system.
