There is nothing more precious than the time spent with family. Spending time with grandchildren will nuturing their reading skills is priceless.

The Public Libraries of Saginaw encourages reading at every level therefore, one of our staff members have put together a booklist of touching books that you can share with your grandchildren.

Choose one from the list below to get started. Feel free to also ask any member of our Children's Department for books like this when you visit our library. Happy reading!

Booklist for Grandparents

Andy Shane and the Very Bossy Dolores Starbuckle
by Jennifer Richardson Jacobson
A tattle-tale, know-it-all at school is tormenting Andy. Only Granny Webb, his life long caregiver, can help him solve his problems. Compelling characters and humorous resolutions make this emergent chapter book an entertaining read.

The Baby on the Way
